Yesterday night, I suddenly decided to journal down all the experiences of raising Kit Yi baby. Next time, when Kitty grows up, she can read this journal, and learn about herself and me.
She was crying nonstop yesterday night, confinement lady auntie said that maybe her stomach got gas, and causes her discomfort. Her cries so loud, that I feel my ear drum was affected by her cries.
She was having slight fever, with temperature around 36.7 degree, and we sent to for checkup at Clinic Osman at Batu 6 Port Dickson. Dr. Osman did not do much checkup. He listens to her breathing and checked her stomach, and touches her forehead and body. He concluded that she got slight fever, slight block nose, and also a bit of gas in her stomach. He gave some prescription namely medicine for fever, for cold, and also vitamin, and off we go.
Kitty refuses to drink the fever medicine, she tried to vomit it out, but confinement lady with her skills, manage to get Kitty finish the medicine, with the help from Kitty’s father.
After taking the medicine for 1 day, I notice that her bowel movement is not normal, as she keep on discharging sticky yellowish bowel. Moreover, she also vomited a few times. Her appetite is also decreasing, drinking only 1 oz. of milk, around 1 hour once. Normally, she is able to finish 3 oz. of milk in 3 hours. Normally, she likes to drink breast milk, but now, when I give her breast milk, she seems very reluctant to suck, and keep on crying. I bring this up to auntie, and she also agreed that maybe her medicine causes her to have abnormal bowel discharge, and also vomiting. Hence, we decided to stop all medication and obverse for one night.
After one night, Kitty is able to sleep peacefully, waking up at normal hour to drink milk. Her appetite also improving.
