Part of the full-moon ceremony, Chinese believe that baby head and eye brow need to be share clean, so the newly born hair will be lustrous and beautiful.
This morning, at 10am, a barber came of the house to shave off Kitty’s head, and her eye. I tried to wake her up, but failed. Kitty’s grandma and father also tried. The barber, they call her Morisee, said, it is fine to shave baby head, while she is sleeping. However, we need to tell her that we are shaving her head. So, Morisee proceed while myself holding Kitty, and telling her that we are shaving her head, and she will wakes up becoming a beautiful girl. Her shaving only takes around 5 minutes, using electric shaver. Using a metal shaver, Morisee also shaved her eyebrow. Kitty sleep peacefully throughout the process.
After shaving, auntie put some liquor on the head, as this is believe to encourage hair growth.
